5 Single Location Movies To Stream On OTT This Weekend Part-2

Mostly, films and series are shot in multiple locations. But there are some filmmakers who were able to create some fine films just by shooting the film mostly on a single location. Despite being a double-edged sword, the very idea of ‘Single Location Films’ adds a bit of intrigue to the plot. In a follow-up to our last week’s write-up, we have compiled a list of another five single location movies which you can stream on various Indian OTT platforms.

The Guilty, 2021 (Streaming on Netflix)

Helmed by ‘Training Day’ and ‘The Equalizer’ director Antoine Fuqua, the movie’s plot follows a now demoted 911 call operator (played by Jake Gyllenhaal) and how he tries to help a kidnapped woman just by sitting in one room. However, he eventually realizes there is more to the story than meets the eye.

The Raid, 2012 (Streaming on MX Player, Lionsgate Play)

The Indonesian action thriller follows a newly recruited member named Rama of an elite SWAT team in Jakarta. The 20-man squad is assigned to infiltrate a high-rise safe house controlled by a merciless crime lord. But soon Rama and his team find themselves outnumbered and trapped and must fight the building’s ruthless resident criminals to complete the mission and save their lives.

10 Cloverfield Lane, 2016 (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, Google Play – Rent)

Amidst reported blackouts in several cities, a woman called Michelle (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) suffers from a car accident. When she wakes up, she finds herself chained inside an underground concrete bunker. An authoritative man named Howard (John Goodman) informs her that the outside world is poisoned by a possible alien attack. Michelle does not believe the story and attempts an escape plan.

Oxygen, 2021 (Streaming on Netflix)

Directed by Alexandre Aja, the psychological sci-fi thriller follows the story of a woman, who wakes up in a highly advanced cryogenic pod that is controlled by an artificially intelligent machine. She can’t remember who she is and why she is in a cryogenic pod. She races against time to solve the mystery before oxygen runs out.

The Thing, 1982 (Streaming on Amazon Prime Video – Rent)

Helmed by John Carpenter, the classic sci-fi horror flick revolves around a group of American researchers stationed in Antarctica. On their base, the research team encounters an alien lifeform that has the ability to shapeshift into the exact form of its victims. Tensions ensue because of the sudden lack of trust because now, any one of them could be the alien antagonist.
