The second (and most likely final) trailer for the Zack Snyder edition of The Justice League will drop on the upcoming Valentine’s Day. Many hardcore DC fans are excited for this trailer, which will be the first one to be released after the extensive reshoots, post production and editing by Zack Snyder. So before the trailer drops on this Sunday, check out the 6 things to expect/ look out for in the upcoming SnyderCut Trailer:
Black Superman Suit
The Black Superman Suit was one of the most anticipated features of the 2017’s Justice League since Henry Cavill teased the suit on social media back when Snyder was still directing the movie. We now know the suit is definitely coming back and we can’t wait to see it in action in the movie, and we expect it to make another appearance in the Valentine’s Day trailer.
Upgraded Steppenwolf
We already saw the new epic look of Steppenwolf and we also caught a glimpse of his fighting prowess in the short teaser which was released earlier and it showed him taking on the entire Amazonian army. We expect a more nuanced role from the baddy and will hopefully get to see more of him in this new trailer.
Joker
Jared Leto’s Joker was initially not supposed to make the cut, even though Snyder wanted to have him previously in the 2017 version of the film. But with the runtime restrictions being removed and a four hour movie now in store for us, the inclusion of the clown prince of crime was easy and we expect to see him in a flashback featuring him and Robin, which could give us the reason why Batman is going around killing people.
Darkseid
For those who do not know, this is the “Thanos” of the DC Universe. Which is ironic because Darkseid was always more well known than Thanos, thanks both to the DC comic books and the animated films/ series, which were always more popular than Marvel. We caught a glimpse of this character in the previous trailer, but hopefully we will get to see more of him in this new one, and fingers crossed for a look at his Omega beams.
Martian Manhunter
Iris West, Jimmy Olsen and Nuidis Vulko were some of the characters that were expected to turn up in the previous version of the Justice League, but they all got cut for a reduced runtime. The Martian Manhunter was going to be introduced eventually down the line, but because of the four hour run time, there is more than enough screen time for the martian along with the aforementioned characters. Many forget that J’onn J’onzz AKA Martian Manhunter was one of the founding members of the Justice League, and it will be nice to see the character come to life for the first time on the silver screen in a live action DC movie. We have yet to see a glimpse of the character (the superhero alter ego) and we think this trailer is the time for Snyder to do it.
More Victor Stone, More Cyborg
Ray Fisher (who portrays Victor Stone/ Cyborg) got his role reduced to a mere side character who skewed exposition every once in a while. The actor made his displeasure known and was pissed off with his treatment on set by the director and the studio, and also of his character’s role on screen. Snyder has promised to show us more of Cyborg, who is a very important character in the DC Extended Universe and hopefully the trailer will give us a glimpse of what to expect from Cyborg.
