7 Interesting Things / Trivia About Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’

7 Interesting Things / Trivia About Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’

Atlee’s highly anticipated action thriller movie ‘Jawan’ starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role is all geared up for its theatrical release this week on 7th September. With the latest advance ticket sales figures, film enthusiasts are expecting the film to perform exceptionally well at the box office.

Before the film’s release on Thursday, we thought our readers might like to know some interesting trivia and rather unknown things about ‘Jawan’. But please note that these trivia are based on some online reports and latest buzz / grapevine and not all of them are officially confirmed to be true. So, it’s for entertainment purposes for curious movie buffs and SRK fans.

Trivia #1

You must have noticed how Jawan’s lead actor Shah Rukh Khan has done some entertaining and innovative dance steps for the old hit song ‘Beqarar Karke Humein’ from ‘Bees Saal Baad’ in a promo. Interestingly, as per some recent online info, SRK had himself choreographed this amusing dance sequence which takes place inside a metro. But the song selection itself was reportedly done by the film’s director Atlee.

Trivia #2

Earlier, there have been talks among movie fans that ‘Jawan’ is loosely based on Amitabh Bachchan’s 1986 crime actioner ‘Aakhree Raasta’ in which the veteran actor played double roles of that a husband seeking revenge for the death of his wife and in the role of an upright cop who is given an assignment to stop his own father from murdering the culprits. Whether this claim is true or not can only be known after the release of ‘Jawan’ in a couple of days.

Trivia #3

Shah Rukh Khan recently revealed on a social media platform that in order to prepare for the double role which he plays in ‘Jawan’, he had watched a lot of films by Atlee and also films which featured stars like Vijay, Allu Arjun, Rajinikanth, and Yash. He did all that to understand the world that was being created by the makers of ‘Jawan’ besides doing his own prep work for his character. So, it would be very interesting to see what all elements from popular films made in South India SRK has incorporated for his upcoming film.

Trivia #4

Before Vijay Sethupathi’s casting as the antagonist in ‘Jawan’, ‘Baahubali’ main villain Rana Daggubati was reportedly offered the villain’s role in ‘Jawan’. However, that obviously didn’t happen, and the part eventually went to Vijay Sethupathi.

Trivia #5

Previously, it was reported that ‘Jawan’ was earlier not titled as ‘Jawan’. It was supposed to be known by the title ‘Sanki’, which also seems apt for one of the looks which SRK is portraying in Atlee’s film.

Trivia #6

As you might already know, SRK will be seen playing a double role in ‘Jawan’ and he will also be donning six different looks for the film. Before ‘Jawan’, SRK has played double roles in multiple films including ‘Duplicate’, ‘Don’, ‘Karan Arjun’, ‘Fan’, ‘Ra.One’, and ‘Om Shanti Om’. Moreover, the film also has special appearances from Deepika Padukone, Vijay, and Sanjay Dutt.

Trivia #7

Atlee’s ‘Jawan’ has set a benchmark of sorts when it was revealed that the film will have an early morning 6 AM show at Gaiety Galaxy, the well-known Mumbai based movie theatre.
