Not only the astounding figures, the 83 trailer has also become the most-watched trailer in 24 hours for a Hindi film!
The previous record was held by the superhit of the season, the Akshay Kumar starrer, ‘Sooryavanshi’. Its trailer clocked 42.9M views in its first 24 hours after launch. Needless to say, the 83 trailer has shattered that record and by several millions too!

Everyone, from critics to movie stars to the common public, has appreciated the trailer for its impactful scenes. Ranveer Singh has come in for special praise for nailing the mannerisms, diction, body language and voice of then Indian cricket captain, Kapil Dev. For those not in the know, 83 captures India’s journey in the 1983 Cricket World Cup, from being minnows to giant-killers, and the final moment when India lifted the 1983 World Cup.
