This morning, Indian film buffs were treated to their first ever glimpse of the upcoming film, ‘83. Delayed for months and months owing to the Covid-19 outbreak, the film will soon be in theatres on 24th December, 2021. The first look of’ ’83 promises a thrilling watch for movie-goers. The full-length trailer of ’83 will be out on 30th November.
The ’83 teaser depicts one of the most goosebumps-inducing moments in India’s cricketing history – when Madan Lal bowled to Vivian Richards and Kapil Dev took the catch to dismiss the West Indian master blaster in the 1983 World Cup Final. The date, 25th June 1983, is etched in the minds of every Indian cricket fan. It was the day minnows India defeated giants West Indies to be the new world cricket champions. Choosing to show this moment in the teaser is a masterstroke on the part of the strategy team of ’83.
