The stage is set for the commencement of Thalapathy Vijay‘s upcoming project Thalapathy 66, which will be helmed by Vamshi Paidipally. Thalapathy 66 will start rolling soon after Vijay’s Beast wraps up the shoot, which is not too far from now. As Thalapathy 66 gears up for the big launch, Dil Raju, who will be producing the film is already busy finalizing the pre-release business.
Now, it is heard that ZEE Network has made a fancy offer to Dil Raju as they wish to acquire the OTT rights of the Vijay starrer. ZEE Network is reportedly ready to shell out big bucks for the post theatrical digital streaming rights of Thalapthy 66. The media giant has made an irresistible offer to Dil Raju and the ace producer is giving it a serious thought.
ZEE Network has been greatly interested in associating with Dil Raju of late. The media giant is said to have recently bagged the negative rights (theatrical, satellite, and digital streaming rights) of Dil Raju’s ongoing production venture RC15, which has Ram Charan in the central role. Now, they are very much interested in acquiring the OTT rights of Thalapthy 66.
If ZEE Network does manage to bag the digital streaming rights of Thalapathy 66, the Vijay starrer will certainly be made available for streaming on ZEE5 Tamil. This could be their biggest acquisition in Tamil cinema till date.
Thalapthy 66 will be an action drama and it will carry a social message as well. The film will be mounted on a big scale and it will be a Telugu-Tamil bilingual.
