A Brand New OTT Platform Makes Its Way To Streaming

Aser Ventures, a global investment platform which specifically prioritizes in investing in sports and sports entertainment, has launched a new OTT platform called LIVENow. The company founder and executive chairman Andrea Radrizzani boasts a portfolio of other ventures such as The ‘Onefootball’ App, The Multinational Sports Channels ‘Eleven Sports’ and of course, his most famous acquisition ‘Leeds United Football Club’ among many others.

The LIVENow App is designed to be a pay-per-view product which will provide access to live music and sports events as well as industry conferences. Radrizzani says that they understand the demand of consumers and the incredible power streaming services have when they provide live content, bringing people together. This allows organisers to be flexible in showing their content and the platform will provide them with a base to organise even greater events. Aser says that they are happy to provide content directly to users as well as through social channels and mobile companies.

Radrizzani’s company has been buying broadcasting rights for LaLiga (the Spanish football league) in the UK and Ireland and has started showing Serie A (the Italian football league) in the same region as well; and had mainly been dabbling in the football side of the sports entertainment sector for a long time. Andrea Radrizzani’s acquistion of the Leeds United club and their return to the Premier League this year, has been one of the biggest fairy tale stories in football that has happened in recent years.

The App had a soft release last year in 2019, broadcasting the ‘Sport Industry Awards 2020 Movie Night’, as well as showing live FA Cup, La Liga and lower league Italian Serie C football matches. LIVENow will launch it’s music offered during the ‘One World: Together At Home’ concert, to show support of the World Health Organisations’ coronavirus relief efforts which took place in April 2020.
