Looks like it’s a massive birthday bash for Anubhav Sinha, this year. No, we are not talking about any birthday party here, instead we are talking about something more massive.
As the Article 15 director turned 56 today, he announced five massive thriller projects which are lined up for him for which he is going to collaborate with the directors such as Hansal Mehta, Sudhir Mishra, Ketan Mehta and Subhash Kapoor.
The line up for this year for Sinha starts with the upcoming thriller ‘Anek’ featuring Ayushmann Khurana which is already in the post-production. Sinha already announced this film in early 2021 and the filming is already completed during the pandemic phase for this one. After ‘Anek’, Sinha will produce two back-to-back thrillers helmed by his long term pals, Sudhir Mishra and Hansal Mehta.
Next up for Sinha movie bash will be an anthology thriller where he will again join hands with Sudhir Mishra and Hansal Mehta alongwith Subhash Kapoor and Ketan Mehta. Now, as anthology films are a growing trend now-a-days, it will be extremely interesting to see how these ace storytellers approach and experiment with this trend.
The final one in Sinha’s birthday kitty will be a totally ‘under-the-wrap’ story which will be revealed gradually. Now, to talk about Anubhav Sinha as a filmmaker, he always approaches offbeat films with different topics such as Thappad, Mulk, Ra.One, Dus or Article 15. Now, we will have to eagerly wait for these five projects to gradually unfold starting with ‘Anek’.
