However, it left many disappointed. More than the casting or the actual content, the limited release was seen as the primary cause. Only three episodes were out. Clearly, they were not enough to form an opinion – either to welcome the idea or reject it.
It looks like the makers are going to continue with the same strategy of limited episodes at a time. The next bunch are going to arrive in ten days from now, June 25th. They will stream exclusively on Zee5 Telugu.
Coming to the strategy, it is indeed different, and now for a streaming platform, especially considering a South Indian series. However, the method is time-tested and successfully executed across shows in Britain. They come with high concept limited episodes making the audience hungry for more.
So, releasing few episodes at a time could work to the advantage of Amrutham as long as the high standard is maintained. From what is out so far, it is not the case, though. Let’s see if things change in the second set, June Chapters, slated to arrive shortly.
Harsha Vardhan, LB Sriram, Vasu Inturi and Sivannaraya essay the key roles. The father and son duo of Gunnam Gangaraju and Sandeep Gunnam creatively handle the series.
