John Krasinski, who had helmed both editions of the critically and commercially successful horror flicks ‘A Quiet Place’ and its sequel ‘A Quiet Place Part II’ has recently revealed on the occasion of Paramount investor day that the third installment ‘A Quiet Place Part III’ is currently under development.
The film is slated to release in the year 2025. Like the first two films, whether John Krasinski will go behind the camera and lend his writing skills for ‘A Quiet Place Part III’ is not yet confirmed.
Besides ‘A Quiet Place Part III’, another spin-off movie which is set in the same universe is also in the works. That movie is being directed by Michael Sarnoski, whose feature film directorial debut was last year’s critically admired film ‘Pig’ starring Nicolas Cage. The script for ‘A Quiet Place’ spin-off movie was based on a story idea by John Krasinski himself and the film is set to release on 22 September 2023.
While the parent film ‘A Quiet Place’ followed a husband-wife duo (John Krasinski and Emily Blunt) and their desperate attempts to protect their family from killer blind creatures with extraordinary hearing. The sequel ‘A Quiet Place Part II’ continued the story arc of the Abbott family’s struggle (without the father) to survive in a dangerous post-apocalyptic world inhabited by these deadly aliens.
What direction the story of the third film A Quiet Place Part III’ will take is subject to speculation but we earnestly hope that it’s written and directed by the parent films’ helmer John Krasinski. The talented actor-filmmaker has already wrapped up Amazon Prime Video’s ‘Jack Ryan’ Season 3 besides lending his voice for DC’s League of Super Pets. His next directorial film is ‘If’ in which he will share screen space with Ryan Reynolds, Steve Carell, ad Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
