Shaji Kailas is coming up with his new film this Friday, August 23rd. This film, named Hunt starring Bhavana. The last time Shrija Kailas and Bhavana worked together, it was back in 2006, in the movie Chinthamani Kolacase starring Suresh Gopi. The movie went on to be a big hit in the box office, and based on that past, fans are speculating Hunt to be a big thing in the Malayalam film industry this year. Apart from Bhavana, the movie stars a talented cast that includes Renji Panicker, Ajmal Ameer, Rahul Madhav, Aditi Ravi, and Dain Davis.
The trailer for the movie was released a couple of days ago and it seems quite promising. The genre of the movie is somewhat of an amalgamation of Horror and Suspense-Thriller. The trailer starts with the discovery of a skeleton, which shows a weird injury as the cause of death which was done by a table tennis ball. Bhavana plays the role of an investing officer along with other dedicated members. This murder leads to the discovery of a bizarre, spine chilling but thrilling case which Bhavana investigates, and the case further drives the plot with multiple twists in the form of revelations.
The movie has a compelling storyline, talented cast, good visuals, perfectly sync music and all of this under a talented filmmaker to create the perfect experience for film lovers. Specially the use of Horror and Suspense thrillers together is something that is unique and intriguing at the same time. The use of supernatural elements and parapsychology while investigating a murder is something you won’t usually come across in films.
It has been a long time since Shrija Kailas came up with a feature film. And it seems that all the wait has paid off. Hunt seems like a spine chilling film that will take the audience into an unexplained, unknown realm of horror and mystery, with an experience that is singular to this film only. The audience have high hopes for the movie and it may mark itself at the box office this Friday.
