The Twilight Girl, Kristen Stewart, is back on the big screens, and with her return comes something truly beautiful. A24 just dropped the trailer for ‘Love Lies Bleeding,’ and it feels like A24 doesn’t play around when it comes to quality.
‘Love Lies Bleeding’ follows gym manager Lou and bodybuilder Jackie as they navigate a passionate romance. Their love is tested by threats from Jackie’s criminal father, leading to intense and chaotic confrontations, as depicted in the trailer.
Katy M. O’Brian, known for roles in ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ and ‘The Mandalorian,’ stars in ‘Love Lies Bleeding,’ alongside Oscar-nominated Kristen Stewart. Ed Harris, Jena Malone, and Dave Franco also feature.
The trailer overall had the A24 vibe, and some shots carried the neon-light hue, making it more beautiful. The characters also shared some intense scenes, and there was a lot of blood; A24 does not hold itself back.
Dialogues and BGM both hit the right spots, and with the intensity, ‘Love Lies Bleeding’ looks promising.
Directed by Rose Glass and co-written with Weronika Tofilska, the film is produced by Andrea Cornwell and Oliver Kassman in collaboration with A24 and Film 4. Following Glass’ acclaimed ‘Saint Maud,’ this promises a compelling narrative.
