Amazon Prime Video’s next Bollywood flick has a simple man enjoying his ride with his furry friend. Seems pretty straight forward, right? Well it isn’t, especially when that furry friend is a huge gorilla. Yes, you read that right; Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming movie “Hello Charlie” stars Aadar Jain in the lead along with a full size Gorilla. The movie is co-produced by Excel Entertainment and is directed by Pankaj Saraswat.
With a very unique storyline and characters that leads the story; “Hello Charlie” follows the journey of a young man played by Aadar Jain, who has been given the duty to transport a fully grown gorilla, in a truck from Mumbai to Diu. The road journey that follows is what makes up the basic story of the movie. The small teaser that was released on Wednesday, showed Aadar Jain enjoying a certain song, while Mr. Gorilla felt like listening to something else. They had a small quarrel about it, but ended with something that they were okay with. Probably this is how the entire journey would be like.
Coming from the director the movie is a complete family entertainer and something that can be watched by everyone in the family, be it the parents, grandparents or the kids. It is made for all. Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, from Excel Entertainment have mentioned that this movie will be something very light hearted and fun to watch. Amazon has given them the chance to work on their creativity more and hence they are hoping the movie will be well received by the viewers.
This is one of the first movies from Excel Entertainment that will be released on the streaming service after they decided on a few more to be strictly made for Amazon Prime Video. Streaming services have as usual, given the freedom to experiment with different stories and hence this most definitely seemed like a much safer way to release it in the platform rather than in the theatres.
Along with Aadar Jain, Jackie Shroff, Elnaaz Norouzi and Shlokka Pandit will be playing significant roles in the movie. The movie will be released on the 9th of April on the streaming platform, worldwide.
