Voot Select has dropped the trailer of its upcoming web series ‘Aadha Ishq’ and it’s a celebration of a forbidden live that soon turns chaotic. Helmed by Nandita Mehra, ‘Aadha Ishq’ will premiere exclusively on Voot Select on 12th May, 2022.
The trailer begins with a breathtakingly beautiful backdrop and Saahir (Gaurav Arora) reciting a few lines where he talks about how age is measured with years passing by while it’s those precious little moments that grow up to become love. And therefore rather than counting one’s age why not steal some of those moments and make a great life.
What follows is a short glimpse of the main characters from the show and the actors playing them. Towards the end of the video Roma (Aamna Sharif) is seen confronting Saahir, who have had a past of their own, about his feelings for her daughter Rene (Pratibha Ranta).
As per Voot Select, set against the scenic backdrops of Kashmir and Mussorie, ‘Aadha Ishq’ follows the explosive turn of events which unfold when Rene finds herself falling in love with Saahir, a man who shares a torrid romantic past with her mother, Roma. After 10 years of separation, Saahir is back in Roma’s life with seemingly dubious intentions. Is he back for revenge? Only time will tell.
‘Aadha Ishq’ stars an ensemble cast of Aamna Sharif, Gaurav Arora, Pratibha Ranta, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Suchitra Pillai, Darsheel Safary, and Pooja Bhamrrah. The nine part series directed by Nandita Mehra is an unconventional love story that will explore modern-day romance, complex relationships, and the pain of an unrequited forbidden love as the narrative plays out in two timelines.
Produced by 24 Frames Media, all episodes of ‘Aasha Ishq’ will start streaming only on Voot Select from 12th May, 2022.
