‘Aadujeevitham – The Goat Life’ took the box office by storm as Prithviraj Sukumaran revealed its astounding opening weekend earnings on social media. Screening across nearly 2000 screens globally, the movie proved to be one of Prithviraj’s highest-grossing single-day collections, matching the anticipation surrounding its release. The survival thriller’s remarkable performance in India saw it grossing Rs 7.60 crore on its opening day, steadily surpassing the Rs 5 crore mark by March 29.
With its impact resonating across India, ‘Aadujeevitham’ garnered a total of Rs 64.1 crore across all shows over the weekend, which is an all time record opening worldwide for a Malayalam movie, and with the Malayalam version shining by earning Rs 11.82 crore, complemented by contributions from other languages. This success was further underscored as Disney+Hotstar secured the digital streaming rights for the film, a testament to its appeal and anticipation among audiences. While the digital release date remains undisclosed, it is expected to be available online 45 days after its theatrical debut.
Directed by Blessy and starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Amala Paul, ‘Aadujeevitham’ presents a compelling narrative adapted from the novel, bolstered by the talents of AR Rahman as the music director and Resul Pookutty as the sound score designer.
