The trailer for Abhishek Bachchan’s ‘Dasvi’ is here and its super entertaining with a much needed message. Helmed by Tushar Jalota, ‘Dasvi’ will premiere on Netflix and Jio Cinema simultaneously on 7th April, 2022.
The trailer begins with Chief Minister Ganga Ram Chaudhary being sent to judicial custody while SIT investigates the teacher recruitment scam. A proud Jaat, Ganga Ram doesn’t like to bend or bow in-front of anyone or anything and he carries on with this attitude even in jail.
Meanwhile he handles the responsibility and position of CM in the trusted hands of his wife Bimla Devi (Nimrat Kaur). Bimla is a common women form village who doesn’t know much about the outside world and isn’t prepared for it either.
In the jail, an 8th grade pass Ganga Ram comes across IPS Jyoti Deswal (Yami Gautam) who finds him very arrogant and ridicules him for being an incompetent illiterate. It hits him somewhere real deep and that’s when he decides to pursue his dream of completing high school.
And thenbegins Ganga Ram’s hustle to not only prove to the world and the officer but also to himself that he can do whatever he puts his mind and soul into. A heart attack during his time in jail makes him realise the importance of completing his education even more. But that’s not it, in the outside world his wife, who has now got the taste of power, doesn’t want to go back to grazing the cattle anymore.
Form counting votes to counting days left for his 10th grade exams, a politician finds out the hard way that being good with people doesn’t make you good at education. Abhishek Bachchan baffles formulas, equations, grammar and much more in ‘Dasvi’.

‘Dasvi’ stars Abhishek Bachchan, Nimrat Kaur, Yamj Gautam, Manu Rishi Chadha and Arun Kushwah among others. Written by Ritesh Shah, Suresh Nair and Sandeep Leyzell with a story from Ram Bajpai, ‘Dasvi’ is produced by Dinesh Vijan, Shobhna Yadav and Sandeep Leyzell. The composer duo Sachin-Jigar have composed the music for the film.
