Abhishek Bachchan’s latest social comedy-drama, Dasvi, is winning the hearts of its audience worldwide. Yes, its critical reception does not look great. But the viewers are loving the film’s story and Junior B’s outstanding performance. And now it has gained the number one position in the top 10 trending movies on the Netflix India list. Also, it is present on the top 10 trending list in 18 countries.
The film’s story has Ganga Ram Chaudhary (Bachchan) as the protagonist. He is an illiterate and unsophisticated politician who wants to clear class 10th exams while staying in jail. Apart from the leading man, we have Yami Gautam playing an IPS officer, Jyoti Deswal, and Nimrat Kaur as CM Bimla Devi. In addition to these acting talents, Shivankit Singh Parihar and Arun Kushwah from The Screen Patti channel on YouTube are a part of this movie too.
Bachchan starred in The Big Bull and Bob Biswas last year. Despite delivering splendid performances, both movies didn’t end up impressing the viewers. The former received more criticism for being a poor rip-off of Hansal Mehta’s Scam 1992.
The actor is busy filming the Bollywood remake of R. Parthiban’s Oththa Seruppu Size 7. He will play the leading role with Parthiban handling the directional duties behind the camera. On the other hand, Gautam upcoming projects are Lost and OMG 2 – Oh My God! 2.
