The Tamil film, Achcham Madam Naanam Payirppu (AMNP), directed by Raja Ramamurthy of America Mappillai fame is all set to skip its theatrical release and stream online directly. The Digital Premiere of the film will happen very soon but the streaming platform is yet be finalized.
Akshara Hassan is playing the central lead in this film which will see her playing the role of a 19-year old named Pavithra. The director in an interview revealed that OTT release in fact helped the movie and his creativity. “I would be forced to make many compromises had Achcham Madam Naanam Payirppu been made for theatre. Only 20% of my vision would have been realized; it would have been an entirely different film. OTT release gave me that creative liberty to make the film suiting my vision and it helped,” the director revealed in an interview.
The makers promise the film to be a fairly enjoyable entertainer and at the same time, it calls for equality while calling out patriarchy. The movie seems to be hitting the right notes ahead of its release and it has to be seen if Akshara Hassan will be able to bag success. Usha Uthup, Anjana Jayaprakash, and Malgadi Shubha will be seen in other roles in the movie.
