Telugu actor and producer Vishnu Manchu is all set to produce a Telugu Original web series for ZEE5, called ‘Chadarangam’. Interestingly, the web series is touted to be the most expensive Telugu web series ever.
Chadarangam will mark the web debut of popular Telugu actor Srikanth. Sunaina and Nagineedu will also play pivotal roles in the web series.
Chadarangam is apparently an intense political drama that takes intriguing twists and turns in the course of the narrative. It is about an actor turned politician who wants to serve his people. But at some point, greed takes over, superseding his good intentions.
The story is a complex tale of political maneuvers and manipulation, much like a chessboard. Incidentally, Chadarangam is the Telugu word for Chess. The web series draws inspiration from real-life events, and is set in the period before the unified state of Andhra Pradesh was divided into two smaller states.
The project has been produced by Vishnu Manchu, under his production banner, 24 Frames Factory and directed by Raj.
Chadarangam is slated to premiere on ZEE5 Telugu on 20th February 2020.
