Netflix does have some gems on their hands. For thrillers, they are working on multiple projects with Fincher, and when it comes to comedy, Sandler is working wonders for the platform. Leo was a big hit for Netflix, and now, both parties are coming up with a new venture.
This time, Sandler is bringing a new Comedy Special to Netflix.
And this installment will be directed by Josh Safdie.
Sandler’s ongoing partnership with the Safdie brothers extends from “Uncut Gems” to “Goldman v. Silverman” and an upcoming sports memorabilia project. While Benny Safdie mentioned the film being “on pause” to the media outlets in January, their collaboration continues.
Talking about Sandler’s special, it won’t be his first one on Netflix. In 2018, he released one with such a big caliber, which was accepted with open arms, scoring 90% on Rotten Tomatoes with a 100% Fresh tag.
Also, the partnership between Sandler and Netflix is definitely a productive one.
Adam Sandler has been heavily involved in Netflix projects, starring in and producing several films under his Happy Madison Productions banner. His work includes animated features, comedies, and thrillers, such as “Leo,” “You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah,” “Hustle,” the “Murder Mystery” series, “Hubie Halloween,” and more.
