The teaser of ‘Adipurush‘ is finally here. Easily the most-awaited film of recent times, ‘Adipurush’ releases in cinemas worldwide on January 12, 2023. This is the first glimpse of the movie that the makers have revealed ever. Prabhas fans have been waiting eagerly for the launch of the ‘Adipurush’ teaser. The Telugu star is playing the central role of Lord Rama in the film.
However, the ‘Adipurush’ teaser has dashed the dreams of everyone hoping to watch a larger than life magical spectacle. Instead, the entire teaser is a badly conceived cut that relies heavily on computer generated graphics and VFX. Even the central characters of Lord Rama, Sita, Ravana and Hanuman look as if they’re computer-generated characters.
The teaser uses VFX to recreate the Rama’s army of monkeys, as well as the locales – the vastness of the Indian jungles, the ocean and Ravana’s Lanka. Not just that, the VFX is so poor that the teaser looks like a kids’ cartoon film rather than one of the most widely known epics in the country. Let’s hope the entire film is not the same.
The only good thing about the ‘Adipurush’ teaser is Saif Ali Khan as Ravana. He oozes charisma, evil and invincibility, showing off his ten-headed avatar with menace. He looks poised to steal the limelight from Prabhas in ‘Adipurush’.
Overall, the ‘Adipurush’ teaser is seriously below average. The VFX and computer graphics are too mediocre to make an impact. Most importantly, the teaser makes one totally uninterested to watch ‘Adipurush’ when it releases in theatres.
‘Adipurush’ is directed by Om Raut, of Tanhaji fame. It stars Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon in the primary roles. Adipurush is produced by T-Series. The film is slated to release in theatres in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
