The lead cast of ‘Om : The Battle Within’, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjana Sanghi (of ‘Dil Bechara‘ fame) have resumed shooting for the film. Reportedly, they are off to Russia for a 10 day schedule for the action thriller. The film marks the directorial debut of action director Tinu Verma’s son, Kapil Verma. Co-produced by Ahmed Khan, wife Shaira Khan and Zee Studios, this movie will see the two stars unite for the first time and perform some deadly stunts too.
Sanjana took to her Instagram handle earlier this morning, to share a picture with her co-star Aditya at Doha Airport, while waiting for their flight. She captioned the post saying, “Onto our next leg, & laughs that were missed. @adityaroykapur”. There has been no similar update however, from Aditya or director Kapil.
Aditya had earlier released the first look of the film back in December last year on the occasion of his birthday and fans went berserk! It showed him in a beefy, chiseled look for the upcoming action-packed thriller. To train for his character, the actor had set up a full-fledged gym at his Mumbai home and his farmhouse. He has apparently rigorously trained in Kung fu and Tai Chi to perfect his action sequences in the film and will be seen performing a series of high octane stunts. All through the second lockdown, he has been sweating it out in the gym to maintain his rugged physique for the movie. In fact, earlier in an interview with Bombay Times, actress Sanjana mentioned that she too would be seen in some serious action scenes, contrary to what she has done in the past.
Meanwhile, on the work front, the actor will next be seen in the Hindi remake of hit Tamil flick ‘Thadam’. The film is inspired by true events and for the first time we will see Aditya play a double role in two very different character shades.The film is expected to go on floors next month. He was last seen in Anurag Basu’s anthology film ‘Ludo’, opposite Sanya Malhotra, among a star-studded ensemble cast. As for Sanjana, we are still awaiting an announcement for her next project, though the future certainly looks bright for this young star in the making!
