The American Film Institute, or simply AFI, is a 54-year-old prestigious American film organization that honors excellence in motions picture arts in the United States. Just a few hours back, AFI had revealed its coveted annual list of outstanding films and television programs for the year 2021.
Some of the films and shows were exclusively or concurrently released on OTT platforms besides theatrical releases (films). Here is the list of AFI 2021 awardees and alongside we have also mentioned which Indian OTT platform has become or expected to become the streaming home for the greatest number of titles.

So, as you can observe from the above table that with respect to the top ten outstanding films as per AFI Awards 2021, there is a tie between OTT giants Netflix and Apple TV+. Whereas, as far as the top ten outstanding TV shows are concerned, the Disney+ Hotstar OTT platform is the clear champion here.
Moreover, the Disney+ Hotstar streaming platform is also the winner with the highest number of six titles in case we take into account the combined list of films and shows with reference to Indian OTT platforms.
