After the tremendous success of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, Anees Bazmee is on to his next with Zee Studios. The ‘Welcome’ filmmaker is well known for his works in the comedy genre and this next venture ain’t too different.
Bazmee is on board to direct an action comedy film for Zee Studios that will be producing the yet to be titled project alongside Vishal Rana’s Echelon Productions.
The film will also have Rohini Vakil as producer and is set for a 2023 release. Going by his recent success of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ the expectations are quite high from Anees Bazmee.
While ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ may have brought back Bazmee into limelight, the filmmaker has given a decent number of good films before. These include ‘Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha’, ‘Deewangee’, ‘No Entry’, ‘Welcome’, ‘Singh Is Kinng’, ‘Thank You’, ‘Ready’ and many more.
In fact almost all of his career best films have been in the comedy category and this time too he is going for what he is best at or maybe simply playing safe.
Coming to Echelon Productions’ Vishal Rana, he has produced films like ‘The Final Exit’ and ‘Blank’ and has a number of exciting projects lined up. These include Taapsee Pannu’s ‘Blurr’: ‘Super’ which is the Hindi remake of the Tamil thriller film ‘Aadai’ and ‘The Terrorist’ which is yet another Hindi remake but this time of a Kannada thriller film of the same name. Rana has also acquired the remake rights of ‘The Transporter’ for India which will be directed by Ali Abbas Zafar who will also co-produce the film.
