Netflix will now be available in a brand new User Interface (UI) in Bahasa Melayu to its users not only from Malaysia but anywhere across the globe. This comes just a little after Netflix launched Hindi UI for its Indian customers.
The users will now be able to navigate through the platform, read titles and synopsis, watch their favourite content like Stranger Things, The Witcher, Kingdom, The Umbrella Academy with Bahasa Melayu subtitles and dubbed audio.
Netflix users can switch to this new UI from the Language option in the ‘Manage Profiles’ section on their desktop, TV or mobile browsers. When they do so everything from sign-up to search rows, collections and payment, will be available in Bahasa Melayu across any/all devices.
This new UI by Netflix is in line with Netflix’s expansion in South East Asia after escalated completion from Disney+Hotstar, which is set to launch in Indonesia next month. Moreover, Netflix has many Malaysian stories lined-up for global audiences like the new stand-up special “Dr. Jason Leong: Hashtag Blessed” and the romantic comedy movie from Adrian Teh, “Pasal Kau!”.
