Disney+ Hotstar has finally announced that it will premiere its next K-Drama, ‘Soundtrack #1′ in India soon. The Korean series is already streaming on Disney Plus in select regions since March 23. Now, Disney Plus Hotstar has announced that the show will begin streaming in India too very soon. The platform has, however, not shared any definite release date for Soundtrack #1 yet.
Disney+ has been betting big on Asian content in recent months. Back in December 2021, the streaming behemoth had announced its acquisition of 20+ Asian titles for streaming on its platforms across the globe. ‘Soundtrack #1′ is Disney Plus’ next Korean original series after its debut Korean show, the well-received ‘Snowdrop’.
With ‘Soundtrack #1’, Disney+ Hotstar seems to be following the release pattern of Snowdrop in India. That show had also premiered on Disney+ Hotstar a month or so after its release in other Asian countries.
‘Soundtrack #1’ stars popular Korean stars, Park Hyung-sik and Han So-hee. Regular Kdrama watchers will recognise them from their hit shows, ‘Happiness’ and ‘My Name’ respectively, both on Netflix. Park Hyung-sik plays Han Sun-woo, a photographer, while Han So-hee plays a musician-lyricist, Lee Eun-soo. The two have been friends for more than 20 years, but fall in love with each other only when fate throws them together for two weeks.
‘Soundtrack #1’ will begin streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar soon. Stay tuned to Binged for the definite premiere date in India.
