While details about ‘Agatha: Coven of Chaos’ are under wraps, The Cosmic Circus claims that the upcoming MCU series will feature a popular character from the comics who shares a very close relation to the series’ protagonist.
According to a recent report from The Cosmic Circus, Nicholas Scratch may make his live-action debut in the forthcoming ‘Coven of Chaos’ Disney+ series. Scratch is Agatha Harkness’ son in the comics.
Rumours regarding Agatha’s pet rabbit, Señor Scratchy, being a transformed version of Scratch surfaced online during WandaVision’s run on the Disney+ platform. However, The Cosmic Circus has revealed that the rabbit was nothing except a demonic entity captured by Agatha before the events of WandaVision, and it had no connection with Scratch.
Nicholas is one of the former residents of the magical community of New Salem, Colorado. Agatha did not like staying with the community due to their reclusive nature, forcing her to leave them and live among normal people. Soon, she received the opportunity to become the nanny of Franklin Richards, son of Sue Storm and Reed Richards from the Fantastic Four. This scenario gave Scratch a chance to rule New Salem. He was also successful in making his people believe that Agatha betrayed them in favour of humans. This enraged witches of New Salem, who abducted both Agatha and Franklin, forcing the Fantastic Four to fight them. At Agatha’s trial, the Four revealed that they did not know about New Salem until Scratch’s actions made them aware of the magical community’s existence. This argument angered Scratch, who started attacking the Four, losing the trust of his community along the way. His actions got him banished to The Dark Realm.
Apart from Nicholas, ‘Coven of Chaos’ also has Aubrey Plaza. Some rumours have teased the actor playing a villainous role in the upcoming Disney+ project. Will Plaza portray a character straight out of the comics? Or will we see her playing a completely new character, just like Emilia Clarke’s G’iah in Secret Invasion? We don’t know about that. But we should expect her character’s origins to date back to the earliest days of the MCU, as per The Cosmic Circrus’ report.
