Aha Video is all set to release the sequel to its hit Telugu film ‘Bhamakalapam’. But there’s a sweet twist in the tale. Unlike OTT release Bhamakalapam, Bhamakalapam 2 will release in theatres first, and only then arrive on Aha Video, after the mandatory exclusive theatrical window of 28 days. There’s no release date for Bhamakalapam 2 as yet, but it looks like it should release by the end of the year.
Telugu film ‘Bhamakalapam 2’ will see Priyamani reprise her role of Anupama, a food blogger, who unwittingly gets embroiled in a murder mystery. Like its predecessor Bhamakalapam, Bhamakalapam 2 will also have Anupama getting caught up in a murder, which she must shake off.
The first look poster of Bhamakalapam 2 shows Priyamani in the center of bloody chaos, holding a vacuum cleaner in her hands, while a suitcase with a body in it rests by her side. The tagline of the movie reads “A Delicious Heist Feast”.
Besides Priyamani in the lead role, Bhamakalapam 2 stars Seerat Kapoor, Brahmaji, and Sharanya in pivotal roles. It is written and directed by Abhimanyu, who had also directed the first Bhamakalapam movie. Bhamakalapam 2 is produced by Bapineedu B and Sudheer Edara of Dream Farmers, in association with Aha Studios.
