We are less than a week away from getting Dave Filoni’s Ahsoka series on the Disney+ streaming platform. However, some lucky critics have watched the show’s first two episodes and shared their reactions on social media. Rosario Dawson entered the world of Star Wars as the titular character in The Mandalorian Season 2, starring Pedro Pascal. Four years later, she is ready to spearhead her own show.
Ahsoka has eight episodes, two of which will premiere on August 23. The finale will arrive on Disney+ on October 4. Besides co-developing the series with Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni has also written all the episodes.
Here’s what the critics are saying about the first two episodes of the Ahsoka Disney+ series!

Joseph Deckelmeier from Screenrant:
Out of all of the #starwars shows I’ve been anticipating #ahsoka the most & it does not disappoint! Mary Elizabeth Winstead & Natasha Liu Bordizzo capture the spirit of Hera & Sabine while making it their own. Episode 1 was shocking & 2 was great! pic.twitter.com/ArQAwk6VwY

Daniel Baptista from The Movie Podcast:
#Ahsoka is a DREAM COME TRUE for Star Wars Rebels fans and an exciting reunion for my fav characters in the galaxy. I’ve seen the first 2 episodes and while it trades whimsy for more serious tone, the performances & action are STELLAR. #Sabine is perfect. A VERY promising start! pic.twitter.com/IBZ4lzFBqi

Steven Weintraub from Collider:
First two episodes of #Ahsoka are really good. Even if you’ve never seen #Rebels or #clonewars it’s super easy to follow. Impressed with the action & how it’s all story. No side missions or filler. Can’t wait to see episode 3. Wish I could watch future episodes on a movie screen. pic.twitter.com/x1aEi0DRZ5

Erik Davis from Fandango:
The first 2 episodes of #Ahsoka are a lot of fun, especially for fans of REBELS and CLONE WARS. Love Ashoka’s fight scenes the most. The 1st episode is written & directed by Dave Filoni & it’s my fav of the two. Definitely more serious in tone. This is some good #StarWars pic.twitter.com/wWOMBYbWxd

Klein Felt from The Direct:
The first two episodes of #Ahsoka are pure #StarWars bliss. This is for #Rebels what I'd hoped #ObiWan would've been for the Prequels. Rosario Dawson shines, but it's Natasha Liu Bordizzo's Sabine who blew me away. Ahsoka is the #DisneyPlus Jedi epic fans have been waiting for. pic.twitter.com/12BYxvS0NY

Zach Pope (certified critic from Rotten Tomatoes):
#Ahsoka Ep 1 & 2 are Remarkable!
Incredibly cinematic & fascinating.
A Pure Sci-fi Samurai Tale that builds off Rebels but furthers characters that we love in a whole other Avenue.
As a massive #Ahsokatano fan (she’s my fav SW character)
This was everything I could want❤️ pic.twitter.com/vicyS0b4of
