Much has been said about Alia Bhatt for her titular role in highly anticipated Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ’Gangubai Kathiawadi’ but this recently released video from the film will leave you in awe of Ajay Devgn.
Ajay will make an appearance in ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ as Rahim Lala, a don who helped Gangu become who she was. Lala is described as the king of the then Bombay, a genuine man with not just principles but also good looks.
When Gangu approaches him for help he agrees to do so as he believes in doing the right thing. He hands her the responsibility of the lives of 4000 women, makes her his business partner and coins a new name for her too – ‘Gangubai Mafia Queen’. Lala, who is said to be her sworn brother, becomes a sort of godfather for her and helps her rise to prominence.
Ajay is known for his intensity and persona and that shines through brilliantly in his portrayal of Rahim Lala as well. The way he carries the whole look ranging from his cap to his attire and the kohl in his eyes goes on to show his perfection of the art.
A film by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ stars Alia Bhatt, Shantanu Maheshwari and Vijay Raaz in prominent roles while Ajay Devgn and Huma Qureshi make special appearances in the film. The film has been produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Dr. Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios.
‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ is all set to release in theatres on 25th February 2022.
