Bollywood star Ajay Devgn has a jam-packed schedule for the year 2022. He is already involved with the shoots of Raid 2 and Singham 3. However, the latest reports have confirmed the actor’s inability to continue working for these projects amid the ongoing third COVID wave in the country. This scenario has forced Devgn to shift his full attention to Kaithi. He is ready to commence the production for Kaithi next week with Dharmendra Sharma at the helm.
Kaithi will become Dharmendra Sharma’s debut directional project in Bollywood. He is also Devgn’s cousin. Additionally, the upcoming movie is the remake of the Tamil hit of the same name, dispatched a couple of years ago. The movie’s plot tells the story of a recently freed prisoner who is ready to do anything for the cops in hopes of spending some time with his daughter.
It is unclear how many similarities we will witness between Kaithi’s Bollywood remake and its original Tamil version. Will the former bestow new story elements or work on the traditional Bollywood copy-paste formula? Only time will tell us!
Ajay Devgn has completed his shoot for Maidaan, Runway 34, Thank God, and Gangubai Kathiawadi. All these projects are lined-up to get released this year. Plus, he is involved with his first-ever web series, Rudra: The Age of Darkness. Apart from the leading man, the makers of Kaithi have not revealed any new addition to the movie’s cast.
