Kaithi, an intense action drama featuring Karthi in the lead role is regarded as one of the finest Tamil films in recent times and rightly so. The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial offered a new cinema viewing experience to South Indian audiences. Both Karthi and Lokesh had previously confirmed that the sequel to the film, Kaithi 2 will definitely materialize in the future. But given their immediate commitments, these talented individuals couldn’t collaborate up until now. However, Lokesh has now dropped a major update on Kaithi 2
Lokesh has revealed that the unit had already shot most of the scenes for Kaithi 2 while they were filming the first instalment, Kaithi. He affirmed that the sequel will indeed hit the floors sooner or later.
“Just 30 Days is enough to complete Kaithi2 and we’ve already filmed most of the scenes for Kaithi 2 during the shoot of Kaithi,” Lokesh said in his latest social media interaction. Well, it appears to be that Kaithi 2 is very much on the cards now and the majority of the filming has been wrapped up already. All that is due now is for Lokesh and Karthi to collaborate at the earliest and complete filming for the much-anticipated sequel.
Lokesh is currently busy with Vikram, a much-hyped multi-starrer featuring Kamal Hassan, Fahadh Faasil, and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles. It remains to be sen if the talented filmmaker will start working on Kaithi 2 soon after he is done with Vikram.
Kaithi is the tale of a circumstantial criminal who goes out of his way to help the police detain a wicked underworld kingpin. The sequel is expected to give an even deeper look into this menacing tale.
