After a lot of waiting and a lot of patience, the first song of Ajith’s Valimai is out and fans can’t keep calm. It is the perfect song for everyone who has been waiting for a solid update from the creators of Valimai. The movie was trending even before the song dropped and it was continuously up there on social media everywhere. After the song dropped, the trending went even higher with the song’s name “Naanga Vera Maari”. The song is trending continuously and fans are super excited, but here’s a small thing that has come up along with the song.
All over social media, specially on Twitter and also in YouTube, a constant comparison war is on. The war is actually between the fans of Thala Ajith and Thalapathy Vijay. Both these fandoms are trying hard to defend the songs of their idols. The songs that are up against each other are Vijay’s Kutti Story from “Master” and ofcourse, Naanga Vera Maari from Ajith’s “Valimai”.
The records for the first 24 hours are the most crucial ones, and normally those are the ones counted for the records. As for Valimai’s “Naanga Vera Maari”, there was a premiere set for the song which means, people could already like the video, before it dropped on YouTube. Even before the premiere, the song reached the 100,000 likes mark, which in itself is a record. The likes reached the 1 million mark, 23 hours 5 minutes after the song premiered. But here’s the twist, since a premiere was set, the likes before the songs released were also counted.
That is one of the reasons why the likes reached the 1 million mark within 24 hours. Whereas, on the other hand for Kutti Story, there was no premiere set before the release, the song released just on the dot. 24 hours after the Kutti Story video drops, the likes went upto 1.4 million. So technically, it might look like Valimai is the one breaking the record, since it crossed the 1 million mark before 24 hours were complete but it looks like the Master’s record is unbeaten at the moment.
“Naanga Vera Maari” was put out with a 2 hour premiere reminder and it was within those two hours that the song crossed the threshold of 100,000 likes. That was even before people could see the song, this can only mean one thing that rather than breaking records, one could easily see how excited fans were for the song to drop that they were patiently waiting the countdown to the single drop.
But, keeping all these aside, one definitely has to say, be it Thala Ajith or Thalapathy Vijay, both are record breakers in their arena and they have put out some great content. One can easily see how dedicated the fans are and this only shows how much their work is loved. So at this point, rather than looking at the record breaking abilities, let us enjoy the song, if possible both songs. But let’s not compare as to who and how one idol might have beaten the other. They are all stars and do all of this just for their fans.
So, now coming back to Valimai, with the first single dropped, fans are now excited to see even more of the movie, but for that we might have to wait a while.
