The release date for Akhil Akkineni‘s upcoming film Agent is now out. The film is directed by Surender Reddy and stars Mammootty, Akhil Akkineni, Sakshi Vaidya, Dino Morea, and Vikramjeet Virk.
Agent is a spy thriller film and the release date has been announced with a teaser. We can see the typical action and interrogation-type scenes that are tried and tested in many Indian films.
Originally a Telugu film, Agent also stars Mammootty from the Malayalam film industry. Not only he is a highly seasoned actor, he is also a huge star and a major temptation to watch the film.
But, the release date is interesting. The movie is hitting the big screens on the 28th of April. If you remember then Ponniyin Selvan 2 is also coming to the theaters on the same date. So it will be a big challenge to manage the same.
Also, the target audiences of both films are very different so Agent has a chance of being successful if its content is good and it gets a good number of theaters.
