We had recently reported that Akshay Kumar’s upcoming action-comedy film ‘Bachchan Pandey’ was on the verge of wrapping up its filming schedule amidst heavy Mumbai rains. Prior to that, the film’s cast members had also shot a significant portion of the film in Jaisalmer.
Now that the shoot has been concluded, it is now being reported that the makers of ‘Bachchan Pandey’ intend to unveil the film’s much-anticipated trailer during this year’s Diwali festival, which is on 4th November. While the film is currently slated to release on January 26, 2021, coinciding with Republic Day. Besides superstar Akshay Kumar, the film also features Kriti Sanon, who is fresh off the heels after the success of her social dramedy and widely acclaimed movie ‘Mimi.
Moreover, the film would be blessed by the presence of the supremely talented performer Pankaj Tripathi. ‘Bachchan Pandey’ is being helmed by Farhad Samji, who is known for his previous collaborations with Akshay Kumar in films such as ‘Housefull 4’, ‘Housefull 3’, and ‘it’s Entertainment’. The film would also feature Arshad Warsi, Jacqueline Fernandes, and Prateik Babbar, amongst other cast members.
The film’s story reportedly revolves around the titular gangster who also happens to be an aspiring actor. Incidentally, Akshay Kumar had previously played a character of the same name ‘Bachchan Pandey’ in the 2008 action-comedy film ‘Tashan’. However, his character is likely unrelated to his character in ‘Tashan’.
Akshay Kumar is nowadays busy promoting his spy thriller movie ‘Bell Bottom’, which is scheduled for a theatrical release on August 19, 2021. Besides ‘Bell Bottom’, his upcoming projects also include ‘Sooryavanshi’, ‘Rakshabandhan’, ‘Atrangi Re’, and ‘Ram Setu’, which are under different stages of production/release.
