‘Heart of Stone’ is Netflix’s upcoming espionage thriller developed by Skydance Media. It was reported in January last year that Netflix had won the worldwide rights for Heart of Stone in a competitive auction. Tom Harper (The Aeronauts, Wild Rose) is directing this movie which is expected to be a female-centric version of spy movies such as Mission Impossible and James Bond.
With this movie, Alia Bhatt marks her international debut. She has been highly successful domestically with her most recent movie – Gangubai Kathiawadi – storming the box-office. It has the third biggest opening for a Bollywood movie since the start of the pandemic. The movie has received positive critical acclaim as well, particularly Alia Bhatt for her performance. The movie also received a standing ovation at the 72nd edition of the Berlin International Film Festival. Last year, in July 2021, she had signed a contract with Hollywood Agency WME. WME also represents Alia Bhatt’s Heart of Stone co-star Gal Gadot.
Gal Gadot also took to twitter to give fans a sneak peak as the movie began shooting. The actress posted behind-the-scenes photos of herself as her character – Rachel Stone. Gal Gadot will also serve as one of the producers on the project. Check out the photos below:
