Alien: Earth, after a long wait, is all set to premiere on Hulu and FX (Disney+ internationally and JioHotstar in India) on August 12. The first two episodes will drop on that date, and the remaining episodes of the eight-episode season will release weekly, each following Tuesday.
According to the series’ official logline, Alien: Earth revolves around a deep space research vessel, the USCSS Maginot, which mysteriously crash-lands on Earth. Wendy (Sydney Chandler) and a diverse team of tactical soldiers stumble upon a significant discovery, bringing them into direct confrontation with the planet’s most dangerous menace.
The cast for the forthcoming FX series is stacked, featuring talents such as Timothy Olyphant as Kirsh, Babou Ceesay as Morrow, Samuel Blenkin as Boy Kavalier, Adrian Edmondson as Atom Eins, Essie Davis as Dame Sylvia, David Rysdahl as Arthur Sylvia, Erana James as Curly, Lily Newmark as Nibs, Kit Young as Tootles, Jonathan Ajayi as Smee, Diem Camille as Siberian, Sandra Yi Sencindiver as Yutani, and Moe Bar-El as Rashidi.
Rising Indian actor Adarsh Gourav also stars in Alien: Earth as Slightly.
Director and showrunner Noah Hawley also serves as co-executive producer on the series, alongside Ridley Scott, Joseph Iberti, David W. Zucker, Clayton Krueger, and Dana Gonzales. The upcoming series is produced by FX Productions.
The events of Alien: Earth take place in the year 2120, well after Scott’s Prometheus and nearly two years before the original Alien movie. Alien: Romulus is set between Alien and Aliens. Stay tuned for more updates.
