Alien Romulus has been the peak of the franchise, according to many fans. For a franchise that has been going on for about 30 years now, Alien has aged fairly well. And now that Ridley Scott is not directing the alien movies anymore, it is very intriguing where the universe is headed in expanding the alien mythos. And if you missed this spectacle on the big screen, well, good news for you. The movie will soon be getting its digital release.
Directed by Fede Alvarez, Alien Romulus is the first movie to come out after the acquisition of 20th-century FOX by Disney. The movie follows Rain, who is a mining worker on a distant planet. Her life gets significantly altered with the revelation of her brother being an android, and she then has to board an abandoned ship, which is soon discovered to be infested by xenomorphs.
Now the franchise Is known for a penchant for shock factor and gore. And Alvarez didn’t disappoint. The tension runs an all-time high, and the cast manages to tap into the iconic Ridley Scott brand of existential horror.
Aliens: Romulus thus was a success at the box office with a 350 million in earnings worldwide, and after a successful run, the movie is coming to Disney+, which for many fans is still something they are yet to adjust to. Given the gore and volence is not really associated with the company. The movie will be available on the platform on November 21.
