In early July, Netflix India had announced that it has commissioned a new Indian Original film from the newly launched production banners of actress Kriti Sanon and screenwriter Kanika Dhillon, Blue Butterfly Films and Kathha Pictures respectively. The film is titled ‘Do Patti’, and it boasts the exciting pairing of stellar actress Kajol with young blood Kriti Sanon in pivotal roles. The two actresses had earlier worked together in the movie Dilwale, back in 2015.
Netflix shared an interesting update regarding Do Patti last evening. The Kajol and Kriti Sanon starrer has finally begun filming in Mumbai. Netflix’s official social media handles posted exclusive images from the start of shoot. Do Patti will be an exclusive OTT release for Netflix, and will not release in theatres even for a limited release, unlike Prime Video’s Neeyat or ZEE5’s Banda.
The film is a mystery and suspense thriller, set in the backdrop of the hills of North India. Do Patti is directed by Shashanka Chaturvedi, and is described as a standout suspense thriller that promises a unique blend of adventure and mystery.
