It’s the end of the month – the time when tons of titles leave Netflix India for good. Every month, scores of new titles are added to the Netflix library around the world. A number of titles also leave Netflix every month.
This happens because Netflix doesn’t own the entire contents of its library. Several popular titles – both films and series – are licenced from their parent companies for a specific period of time.
Sometimes Netflix renews the licence for a title; and sometimes, it doesn’t. Which means that the title leaves Netflix to return to its owner. This happens not just in India, but across the world.
A number of titles are leaving Netflix India in the next few days. The titles include popular movies such as ‘The Godfather’, ‘Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves’, three of the ‘Transformers’ movies, ‘Justice League’, and several others.
