AltBalaji seems to be on a roll these days. After the much anticipated series’ ‘Cartel’s trailer release last week, their latest production to hit the OTT platforms is ‘Crimes and Confessions‘. This series is also the latest to follow the new anthology trend. After the success of many recent anthologies like Lust Stories, Paava Kadhaigal, Super Deluxe, Feels like Ishq, Ajeeb Dastaans and the latest Navarasa, we are in for yet another!
The trailer of the show came out a couple of days back and has got a decent response. The captions tweeted by the makers prior to the trailer release were enough to pique the interest of viewers. One interesting one shared by them read, “THE END hamesha story ke end mein nahi aata, kuch stories THE END se shuru hoti hai!”. While sharing the trailer, ALTBalaji added, “Kahaniyaan aur confessions kuch aisi, jo reveal karenge dangerous crimes!”
The show features an ensemble cast comprising Akshay Dogra (of Dil Hi Toh Hai fame), Ankit Bathla (of Naagin 4 fame), Samiksha Batnagar (of Poster Boys fame), Lekha Prajapati (of The Big Bull fame), Shweta Gulati (of Dill Mill Gaye fame), with Ankita Chakraborty, Sushant Kandya, Pradeep Duhan, Ashish Trivedi and Prerika Arora among others.
The series will feature 5 different stories from different backgrounds and eras depicting various heinous crimes. The trailer gives a gist of what to expect from the show and it seemingly portays greed, manipulation, jealousy, hatred, deceit, murder and mystery, entwined in a bunch of plot twists. The Baljit Singh Chadda directed series is being produced by Jaasvand Entertainments Pvt. Ltd, Black Swan Production, Keylight Production and DisKontent.
Ekta Kapoor is one of the top content creators we have had for a while now and it’ll be interesting to see what this new show has to offer. Initially scheduled to release on both AltBalaji and MX Player, there is no buzz of it being released on the latter now. The show is all set to stream on AltBalaji from tomorrow, 7th August.
