SS Rajamouli’s RRR starring Ram Charan and NTR was announced for the October 13th release. Despite the COVID second wave disruption, the team is confident of making it for the previously announced date. However, everyone is too sure that Rajamouli being a perfectionist can not make it. Dussehra is the first holiday period after COVID’s second wave.
Allu Arjun is looking at October 13th release for Pushpa’s first part release. But then, KGF 2 has come out of the syllabus for Allu Arjun. Buzz is that KGF 2 makers will announce the new release date on July 16th – the day the movie was supposed to release if not for the Second wave.
Allu Arjun is disappointed with this development since competition with a much-hyped film like KGF 2 will erode the holidays’ advantage. If Dussehra is gone, there is no such advantage until the Sankranthi holidays next year. Since the release of all the big films was stopped due to the COVID second wave, no big films are unlikely to have a solo release advantage at least until Sankranthi 2022. But Allu Arjun is very ambitious about Pushpa and is keen on having that additional advantage for the film, especially in the Dussehra season.
