Ekta Kapoor who is widely known for being a part of controversies has landed into yet another one with her latest series Bang Baang. The controversy this time around revolves around the casting of the once-famous tik tok star Faisu.
Faisu received severe backlash from people when he got into a row with YouTubers and things became pretty nasty as there were different opinions on both sides of the spectrum. We won’t go into much detail about that spat but we feel that it has in some way or the other affected the buzz that surrounds Bang Baang.
Hard Core fans of Faisu are pumped that he will be making his digital debut and can’t stop raving about how he has maintained his body and continues to shine despite so much of the hate that he receives regularly.
There is another faction of the crowd who do not understand this casting choice and have downright called it a marketing gimmick from Ekta Kapoor. This faction argues that there are many more capable actors rather than Faisu.
It seems that the backlash may be getting to boiling point and Alt Balaji have even turned off comments for the Teaser Trailers that they had released on their YouTube handle. Ekta Kapoor seems like the capitalist in every way and whether you like it or not Bang Baang has created a substantial buzz.
Bang Baang will premiere on 25th January on Zee5 and Alt Balaji. I think that any criticism biased or justified is only fair after we have seen the series and given it a genuine chance rather than directly hopping to opinions without seeing a single scene.
