ALTBalaji had launched its new series ‘Bang Baang’ on the auspicious day of Ganesh Chaturthi. And this morning, the streaming platform revealed the cast of the upcoming series, springing a massive surprise on viewers! Coz Bang Baang is all set to star top TikTok star, Mr Faisu, as the lead of this guns and gore series!
For those of you who’ve been living under a rock, Mr Faisu is easily the biggest TikTok star India has produced. Faisal Shaikh, as his real name is, is popular all over the world among Indian youngsters, for his peppy TikTok content, which he posts under the name, Mr Faisu.
By casting Mr Faisu as the lead of Bang Baang, ALTBalaji has ensured eyeballs for the series, made up of his devoted fan following. It’s obvious his entire fan brigade will tune in to watch their beloved Mr Faisu kick serious ass in the crime and action thriller series that is Bang Baang.
Giving Mr Faisu company as the female lead of Bang Baang is actress Ruhi Singh, who is also a former Miss India Top Ten. Ruhi Singh has earlier appeared in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Bollywood film Calendar Girls, and the web series Spotlight 2 and Operation Cobra.
AltBalaji also released the first look and teaser of Bang Baang, which shows the duo of Ruhi Singh and Mr Faisu team up to show a bunch of goons their place. The teaser features a gun battle between them and the goons, with a spray of bullets popping everywhere. ALTBalaji had earlier described the series as a riveting capture of the crime scene in Mumbai. The tagline of the series is a dead giveaway. It says ‘Bang Baang: The Sounds Of Crime’.
