Not so long ago, Samantha ventured into the OTT space with her maiden web series, the sophomore season of The Family Man. Thanks to her fine performance in the action drama series, she has caught the attention of the OTT audience, and more importantly that of top OTT platforms. Mainstream OTT giants have identified that Samantha is a beauty with substance and are now queuing up to collaborate with her. As per reports, Amazon Prime Video and Aha Video are in talks with Samantha for OTT projects.
Amazon Prime aspires to bring Samantha, and the creators of The Family Man, Raj & DK for another web series. This project has been in the news for a while now. Amazon Prime Video is confident of materializing this project and the OTT giant is ready to offer Samantha a whopping paycheque if that is what it takes to bring her on board.
Now, Aha Video, which has well and truly turned up the gears and is putting in its best efforts to emerge as a household name for the Telugu OTT audience is also lining up a web series with Samantha. Aha Video had previously worked with Samantha for SamJam which wasn’t renewed for the second season. Cut to now, the platform is planning to bring Samantha on board for one of its flagship shows. The nature of the show is unknown for now. While a few say Aha is planning a reality show with Samantha as the host, others say the OTT player is willing to bring Sam on board for a drama series.
One thing that is for certain is that Samantha has a handful of OTT projects that are in the discussion stage. She will take the final call on these assignments sooner rather than later. More details will be out correspondingly.
