This evening, Amazon Prime Video‘s social media handles teased netizens with an intriguing announcement – the launch of the trailer of a new piece of content. The streaming giant added to the intrigue by not revealing the name of the content, keeping everyone guessing as to what the new drama is.
Amazon Prime Video’s Twitter and Instagram posted pictures of popular dramas such as Mirzapur, Sarkar, Gangs of Wasseypur, and The Godfather. It accompanied the pictures with a caption that added to the excitement of the users even more. The caption read,

The new content Amazon Prime Video is teasing is a series – titled DOM. It is a gripping father-son drama, set in the backdrop of the drugs and crime scene of Rio de Janeiro. DOM is Amazon Prime Video’s first ever Brazilian original. The 8-episode series will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on 4th June, in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, besides its original Portuguese version.
DOM has been adapted from a true story from the early 2000s. It tells the story of Pedro (Gabriel Leone), a young man, caught in the web of cocaine and crime. Pedro becomes the leader of the drug gang called Pedro DOM. In contrast, his father Victor (Flavio Tolezani) is an intelligence officer, dedicated to the eradication of the drug menace from Rio de Janeiro. The series focuses on the tug of war between the opposing ideologies of father and son. It is a fast-paced thriller, with gripping emotional drama at its core
Besides the two lead actors, DOM features Filipe Bragança, Raquel Villar, Isabella Santoni, Ramon Francisco, Digão Ribeiro, Fabio Lago, Julia Konrad and André Mattos, among others. Dom is directed by Vicente Kubrusly and Breno Silveira. The series is produced by Renata Brandão and Ramona Bakker from Conspiração.
The trailer of DOM will be launched at 12 noon tomorrow. The series will hit Amazon Prime Video worldwide on 4th June, in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
