Amazon Prime Video Drops Bhramam Trailer!!

By Binged Bureau - Sep 28, 2021 @ 02:09 pm

Amazon Prime Video released the official trailer of the highly anticipated Malayalam remake of ‘Andhadhun’ – ‘Bhramam’, on its official Indian YouTube page, barely an hour ago. When the film premieres on the streaming platform next week, it will become Prithviraj’s third Malayalam movie to have released on Amazon Prime Video in back-to-back direct-to-OTT releases. The trailer is quite interesting, so check it out at the end of this article.

While the trailer looks more interesting than the previous remake – the Telugu film, ‘Maestro’; the film still looks like it could be a shot-for-shot remake of both films. While this is not confirmed, many scenes within the trailer seem to indicate that way for us. However, the film’s casting seems to suggest otherwise. By the way, there are a lot of big actors who will appear in this film including Prithviraj Sukumaran, Unni Mukundan, Mamta Mohandas, Raashi Khanna, Shankar, Jagadish, Kunchan, Sudheer Karamana, Valsala Menon and Shine Tom Chacko.

There are a few discrepancies with some of the shots from the trailer and the casting selection. Jagadeesh who looks like he will play the doctor according to the trailer is said to be playing the father of the film lead’s love interest (as per film casting). According to the film casting, the doctor is going to be portrayed by Sudheer Karamana, but in the trailer, he looks to be portraying a normal cop, who is not part of the main narrative (of ‘Andhadhun’ or ‘Maestro’). There is also the fact that the Bhramam promo drops a lot of Malayalam film references as well.

So far, as we mentioned earlier, Bhramam looks interesting. At first glance, it looks better than Maestro, but we don’t think it will reach the heights of Andhadhun. The trailer is well made and has made us want to check out the film even more now – so the trailer does its job quite well.

Bhramam will premiere next month, on October 7th 2021, on Amazon Prime Video.
