The highly anticipated Surya starrer, ‘Jai Bhim’ released in multiple languages on Amazon Prime Video around the globe last night… And it was brilliant. The hard-hitting story and realistic depiction of the film paints a very similar picture to the brilliant South Korean film, ‘Silenced’, which had released back in 2011. However, while the film was brilliant, the OTT platform that was streaming the film was having a chaotic time behind the scenes. Amazon Prime Video seemed to be facing multiple technical difficulties last night, with the OTT platform struggling to release the non-Tamil versions of the film. As a matter of fact, the Telugu version of ‘Jai Bhim’ is still unavailable on Amazon Prime Video for their U.S. subscribers.
When ‘Jai Bhim‘ dropped on Amazon Prime Video last night, the Tamil and Hindi versions of the film were apparently streaming well in India and the rest of the world. But the Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu versions of the same movie were having technical difficulties. After some time, however, the OTT platform managed to make these versions of the movie available for the Indian subscriber of Amazon Prime Video. The Kannada and Malayalam versions of the film are also available for Amazon Prime Video subscribers in the U.S. as well.
However, the Telugu version of ‘Jai Bhim’ is still unavailable for viewing for the rest of U.S. Amazon Prime subscribers. While we know that this problem is going to be rectified soon, the fact of the matter is that it continues to remain. And for a streaming platform such as Amazon Prime, this almost-10-hour-plus delay in release, in unacceptable. Amazon Prime Video has had some streaming difficulties problems in the past but this issue takes the metaphorical cake.
Check out ‘Jai Bhim’ on Amazon Prime Video. It is currently available for streaming in India in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
