Kabir Khan, the man behind the acclaimed films like Bajarangi Bhaijaan, Kabul Express and New York, is gearing up for a big 2020. He is all set to have two releases, one for the streaming platform and another theatrically.
The digital release of Kabir Khan will see him get back to the roots. For Kabir Khan, it all started with the documentary of Indian National Army named The Forgotten Army. It was after its release and years later he turned a full-fledged director with Kabul Express.
For his new presentation after Tube Light, Kabir Khan is revisiting The Forgotten Army on a grand scale. He has directed a five-episode mini-series for Amazon Prime Video retaining the same name as his documentary. It will be showcasing the story in detail as opposed to his debut attempt.
The Forgotten Army will chronicle the journey of Lieutenant Sodhi and his heroic army comprising of men and women. They fought Indian Independence during World War 2. They were part of the Indian National Army led by Subhash Chandra Bose.
The mini-series will stream just in time for Republic Day celebrations in India. Amazon Prime Video, which is coming with big productions like Made In Heaven, The Family Man and Inside Edge promise The Forgotten Army to be another gripping tale. Well, we can’t wait for the first glimpse.
