Amazon’s Truth Seekers: Comedy and Horror Back Together!

An Amazon Original is set to hit the screens soon. Releasing on Halloween, 30th October, a perfect day for everything spooky, “Truth Seekers” will bring the genre of comedy and horror back together. It will be a 8 episode long series. The first two episodes have already premiered in the Cannes Series Festival on October 10, 2020. The series is set to go for the virtual release on Amazon Prime Video.

The series is set in the UK, where a man who is a broadband installer by profession takes up looking into investigations of various paranormal activities happening in and around. He is stuck to partner up with a young man named Elton who has no interest in Ghost Hunting whatsoever. This team of two is later joined by a young lady who has her own paranormal experiences as she spots ghosts here and there. The team is shown to go on various expeditions of finding paranormal in the abundant hospitals, churches, bunkers and whatnots throughout the UK. But it is later that they realise something is really off and something greater is hiding behind all these.

As the team goes on solving cases, they document all those and upload it on their YouTube channel named, “Truth Seekers” garnering attention and a following. Things will get interesting when they get ready to fight a greater enemy, that’s hiding in plain sight amongst those paranormal activities.

Starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Samson Kayo and Emma D’ Arcy in pivotal roles, the series is directed by Jim Field Smith. Truth Seekers is created by Nick Frost, Simon Pegg, James Serafinowicz and Nat Saunders and has Sony Pictures Television and Stolen Pictures in the production team.

It would be fun to watch how they manage to put all the fun and excitement, mysteries, and world saving efforts into a short span of 8 episodes. Get ready to laugh it out with the supernatural.
